Hardcore opium addiction and a hopeful and realistic recovery program in small-town Ohio form the basis of “Union County,” a drama now in theaters where director Adam Meeks hopes to break down the dividing line between fact and fiction. The majority of the cast are nonprofessional actors who are real-life participants in the program, bearing harsh truths about themselves on camera.
