It’s a hit, which surprised a lot of people. The Marvel Cinematic Universe had taken a few dips recently with “Eternals,” “Ant Man and the Wasp” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.” Few were hopeful about “Thunderbolts*,” featuring second-tier Marvel heroes, ones without any super powers to sell merch and rev up audiences. The new Avengers they weren’t.
