Since “Manhunter,” the 1986 crime thriller directed by the masterful Michael Mann, is back in theaters on July 24 in a form approved by the Mann himself, this return engagement is a big effing deal for me, and for you too if you care about seminal movies and want to see full exhibition justice done to them, no matter how long it takes.
