Insanely Early 2027 Oscar Predictions

Why do movie crazies like me (and fellow obsessives like you that I’m lucky to have with me on The Travers Take) get such a charge out of making 2027 Oscar predictions before the dust has even settled on those who just took home the gold statues? The kick of it doesn’t come from proving my cred as an Oscar prophet. My record at crystal balling is pretty weak, though I did predict “Sinners” and “One Battle After Another” the same time last year. For me, the fun comes in handicapping future contenders—sight unseen.
