Every year at the New York Film Festival, there’s a secret screening that is not
announced in the program. You might hear whispers among insiders, but otherwise you take your chances. The surprise was major on Oct. 6 when Timothée Chalamet, along with girlfriend Kylie Jenner and director Josh Safdie, showed up at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall to introduce “Marty Supreme,” a fictionalized story of professional ping-pong player Marty Reisman, starring Chalamet and directed by Safdie.
