It turns out that serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and the parent murders committed by Lyle and Erik Mernendez were just warmups for the Ryan Murphy “Monster” franchise on Netflix. Part 3, entitled “Monster: The Ed Gein Story,” is riveting enough to earn it No. 2 on the streamer’s platform charts with 12.2 million views in its first week.
