In less than a week it will be time again to look back and remember Juneteenth, a date in 1865 when enslaved people in America were finally emancipated. No wonder it’s also called Freedom Day. Ironically, it took until 2021 for Juneteenth to be federally designated as a national holiday. Read into that what you will.
