EMMY WINNER UPDATE!

What a night, with top Emmys going to my top three shows, “Adolescence,” “The Studio” and “The Pitt.” Some were shocked by that last one, thinking season 2 of “Severance” would take the big prize. Britt Lower did take Best Actress, but even fans know “Severance” has an alienating chill factor that can keep audiences at a distance. The ER heat of “The Pitt” fuels us right into the fray. There’s the difference.
