Hollywood intends to rocket launch a fleet of big-ticket blockbusters to finally lift us out of the financial funk brought on by Covid and the dual writers and actors strikes. Don’t get too excited. Originality is still a lost art in a season bought and paid for by prequels, sequels and reboots. Luckily, even greed can’t kill the fun dished out by folks who know how to get us back into theaters, slathering our mugs with popcorn with a look that begs, “Astonish me.”
