You have a movie choice this weekend. Either join the horror hordes to see the sixth iteration in the “Insidious” series or line up for the movie that rewrites the book on fear.
I’m talking about “It Ends,” now springing a constant stream of surprises at the multiplex. If you saw “Backrooms,” and a lot of you did, you’ll only have some idea of the existential, nerve-pressing horror ahead in “It Ends.” First-time director-writer-editor Alexander Ullom means to mess hard with the minds of his audience. And not just us. Think of the four major characters in his movie, who really get put through the ringer.
