★★★½ (3½ out of 4)
A tense and terrific prison drama is a rare bird these days. So welcome “Inside,” now in theaters where it deserves a receptive audience. I’m not saying “top of the world, Ma” like “White Heat” or “The Shawshank Redemption,” but its best moments bring it close. This Australian import marks a fine feature debut for writer-director Charles Williams, whose name bears remembering.
