"Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour"

How many pop stars have been directed in concert by “Titanic” and “Avatar” bossman James Cameron? Just this one. Aren’t we lucky?

This film blog doesn’t dip too often into live-captured pop star concerts in theaters. We’re making an exception for “Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft.” In the first place, Eilish has earned two Academy Awards for Best Original Song, both co-written with her brother, Finneas O'Connell. I’m talking “What Was I Made For” from the blockbusting “Barbie” and “No Time to Die,” the James Bond theme from the juggernaut of the same name. That makes Eilish, 24, the youngest two-time Oscar winner in history. Her credentials are unimpeachable.
