The old saying that “the sequel is never the equal” is blown to bits in “Beef,” Season 2 now on Netflix, where it stands as a potent provocation right on par with the 2023 OG “Beef,” which took home eight Emmys, including Outstanding Limited Series and acting prizes for stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun as strangers—one Vietnamese, the other Korean—involved in a road rage incident that changes their lives in the affluent LA suburb of Calabasas.
