Is there one movie among all you’re seen that you’d like to live inside of?

What a great question! I could think of dozens. I can’t pick “The Godfather” because I’m afraid I’d be garroted or worse. So I’m going with “Midnight in Paris,” the Woody Allen film from 2011. Not just because Paris is one of my favorite cities—it is—but because I’d get to live in two Paris eras—the present and the1920s since this cinema ode features time travel. And in both eras, I could walk along the Seine with Owen Wilson, who stars as Gil, a Hollywood screenwriter on a return visit to City of Light this time with his fiancée, Inez (Rachel McAdams). “This is where Monet lived and painted,” Gil rightly enthuses. Sadly, Inez isn’t into water lilies or Gil’s dreams of writing the great American novel like Hemingway and Fitzgerald.
